Our poll was extremely close on the guys' side this week. It appears Mark Kanemura may just survive, despite predictions. Dial Idol agrees. Look for Comfort to leave again tonight. Twitch and Will are in jeopardy.

Prediction: If Will is in the bottom 2 tonight but survives, look for a Desmond Richardson Pas De Deux style hookup for him next week to get him into the top 4.

Favorite Routine: Mandy Moore's Table Jazz

Neil and Sabra's top 6 jazz routine, choreographed by Mandy Moore, clearly led our Favorite Routine poll for season 3. Kameron and Lacey's top 20 Contemporary, choreographed by Mia Michaels came in a distant second, closely followed by Hok & Jaimie's Wade Robson choreographed Hummingbird Jazz routine, and Pasha and Sara's West Coast Swing, choreographed by Benji Schwimmer and Heidi Groskreutz.

763 voters cast 1938 votes. Multiple votes were allowed, so the percentages show the percentage of voters who included each routine amongst their votes. For instance, 40% of all voters included a vote for the winner.

I think it's interesting to note that the 4 top routines came from 4 different choreographers and were performed by 8 different dancers.

Clearly, Lauren is in deep trouble this week. While Pasha trailed Neil, the same was true in last week's poll, and Neil ended up in the bottom 2 with Dominic. Too close to call.

Clearly, Jaimie Goodwin fans should be very concerned for tonight's results. The same can be said for fans of Dominic and Kameron. Danny was the top vote-getter, and it's interesting to note that he clearly out-polled his new partner, Lacey Schwimmer. Sabra was the top vote-getter for the girls. She's come a long way since she began the competition as a virtual unknown.

Poll Results

We didn't get our poll published until this morning, but I think we have a pretty clear picture of who is safe tonight. Dominic & Sabra received 28% of the vote, with Danny & Anya a close second with 25%. Hok & Jaimie will almost surely be in the bottom 3 as they polled only 4%, the lowest of the 6 couples. Kameron & Lacey were second lowest with 10%. Will tonight be their first time in the bottom 3? Or will their power voting fan base overtake Neil & Lauren (12%) and Pasha & Sara (17%)?

We'll know who the top 10 are by the end of the show.

Top 14 Poll Results

Our top 14 performance show poll asked: Which couple gave the best performance during the top 14 show? We received 343 votes. Pasha & Sara came in first with 33% of the vote, Dominic & Sabra were a strong second with 25%. Neil & Lauren should be safe tonight as they came in third with 16%. We're a bit surprised that Kameron and Lacey came in fourth with only 10% of the vote, but with Lacey's power-voting fan base, they will most likely be safe. Almost surely in the bottom 3 will be Danny & Anya (9%), Hok & Jaimie (2%), and Cedric & Shauna (2%).

Given all that's happened so far this season, we make no further predictions. It will all come down to how the individuals dance for their lives, and whatever mood Nigel & Co. are in tonight.

Our sidebar poll asked: Which dancers gave the best performance in the top 16 show? Hok & Jaimie were clear winners with 44% of the 323 votes cast. Dominic & Sabra came in second, receiving 20%. Kameron & Lacey, and Pasha tied for third, with 13% each. If our poll is any indication, they should all be safe tonight.

Those who should be concerned include Jesus & Sara with 6%, Neil & Lauren with 3%, Danny & Anya and Cedric & Shauna with 1% apiece.

I thought hok and jaimie were truly amazing, but i'm sure pasha will get a lot of sympathy votes for jessi's condition... wonder what's wrong with her... but anyway, man, hok and jaimie were totally awesome this show!

Readers Clearly Prefer Contemporary/Lyrical

Our sidebar poll asked the question: What's your favorite dance genre on So You Think You Can Dance? Out of 112 responses, 58% chose contemporary/lyrical. Hip-hop and ballroom virtually tied for second with 17 and 16% respectively. Broadway received 6% and disco 3%. One voter commented that her favorite style is "whatever Danny is dancing!"

This brings up an interesting question. Does any couple who draws a contemporary/lyrical routine automatically gain an advantage in viewer voting? Or is there more pressure for them to perform that routine well? So far this season, Kameron & Lacey, and Dominic & Sabra have danced c/l and have avoided the bottom 3 for those performances. It's generally thought that both couples did a good job. Any thoughts?

Hawk Is Reader Favorite, Caitlin Close Behind

In our highly unscientific poll, we asked the question: Which season 3 hopeful would you most like to see make the top 20? Here's how you voted: break dancer Hawk Konishi came in first with 22 votes, 18 year old Caitlin Cucchiara was second with 19 votes. Third place was a surprise to us, former football player turned ballet student Myles Johnson was chosen 12 times by voters, coming in ahead of Lacey Schwimmer and Jaimie Goodwin, with 10 votes each.
