Here's what the Diavolo Dance Theater does with the staircase we saw in last night's Step It Up & Dance.
CORRECTION: Per information in comments, this isn't Diavolo Dance Theater, but rather "LA County High School for the Arts students in a recital after spending a semester workshopping with the Diavolo Education Company". Our apologies for any misunderstanding. It's an amazing piece.

Choreographer: This choreography is about the struggle between hate and love. The most important part for the dancers is to convey the right emotions. The aggression that lays inside them.
--
Siv: It's kinda hard to be mad at Ronni, because I just start laughing all the time..!
--
Siv: *on the floor laughing* I'm not ready!
--
Siv: *tries to explain what 'latterkrampe' (=laughterattack)is.
Ronni: *says the danish word for it (=grineflip) which makes Siv laugh even harder*
--
Ronni: If I don't drag her hard enough then she won't get up! So I really have to drag her hard.
--
Siv: *still laughing* this doesn't work. I can't do it!

So You Think You Can Dance Canada's guest judge Melissa Williams talks about dance on television:
"I started my career on a television show like this one," she says, thrilled to be judging Halifax hopefuls. "I'm so excited to be working with a dance television show again."
After a formidable career in LA, Williams is back in her hometown of Windsor and excited that So You Think You Can Dance has finally come to Canada. "It's great that dance is back in people's living rooms. Canadians need to be reminded of the talent that's in this country." Williams is one of SYTYCDC's Alternating Third Judges, and is one of the judges for the Halifax auditions.

Australia's Dancing With The Stars was turned down by none other than British Chef and TV personality Gordon Ramsay. This article says that SYTYCDAus choreographer Jason Gilkison may be a judge on the show. The UK has it's own version of SYTYCD in the works. I'm pretty sure it can't be a British show until Gordon Ramsay shows up to give everyone a good bollocking.
