SYTYCD Canada News

So You Think You Can Dance Canada Executive Producer Sandra Faire talks about the upcoming CTV first season:

When the show airs in the fall, Faire expects the Canadian audience will be treated to a wide range of dance styles reflecting our cultural mix -- some East Indian, Celtic and aboriginal dancing, for example -- and perhaps a bit more ballet than has been seen on the U.S. program.

Some classical training, or an aptitude for that discipline, is in the essential nature of the competition on "So You Think You Can Dance Canada." Judges will be looking for candidates who can work with a choreographer on new genres and disciplines of dance, those who can work with a partner, and candidates who are able to grow during the season.

There's still no word on who will be host and judges, though at least one dancer/choreographer/blogger has thrown his hat in the ring.
